STEP 1: SUBMIT AN INQUIRY

To begin the application process, submit an inquiry form here. Please submit only one inquiry form per family; you can add additional children to your MyWMS account during the application process. Within three business days, you will receive an email to create your MyWMS account.

STEP 2: VISIT WMS

Attend a campus tour or an Open House event - register here. Touring is a required part of the Admissions Checklist.

STEP 3: APPLY ONLINE

Complete the Admissions Checklist in your MyWMS account. Applications are considered submitted only when the checklist is complete along with a $100 non-refundable application fee per student.

STEP 4: ENROLLMENT DECISION

Prospective families will be notified of the admissions decision via email. Applications that are fully complete and received between October 14, 2024, and January 16, 2025, will receive an admission decision between February 3 - 28, 2025.

STEP 5: ONLINE ENROLLMENT

If admission is offered, online enrollment will be available via MyWMS. A non-refundable tuition deposit of 10% of the net annual tuition is due upon enrollment.

OFFERS of admission & WAIT POOLS

All admissions decisions are made during a review process by committees comprised of the Head of School, Program Directors, faculty and the Admissions Office. WMS strives to maintain a balanced enrollment in our classrooms based on age/grade level, diversity and the following applicable considerations: prior Montessori experience or knowledge/appreciation of Montessori philosophy, developmental readiness, social/emotional skills, academics and test scores, level of age-appropriate independence.

WMS admits students with priority consideration given to: current families, current employees, families applying for more than one student, and students transferring from other accredited Montessori schools. Priority consideration does not guarantee an offer of admission.

Due to limited space, we cannot offer admission to every applicant. WMS has a wait pool for applicants who are deemed to be a good fit for our school but do not receive an admissions offer due to limited spaces. When a space becomes available in a classroom, we choose a candidate from our wait pool who best matches the criteria of the opening such as age and other balancing factors for the classroom. The family will be notified by phone and email if their student is selected. Families that remain in the wait pool without receiving an admissions offer are welcome to submit a new application for the next school year and will be evaluated in the same manner as a first-time applicant with the same requirements to complete all steps of the application process. The committee will have access to the previously submitted application.

Jan. 31, 2025: Priority tuition assistance application deadline.
Feb. 3 - 28, 2025: Admissions decisions sent via email.
Mar. 4, 2025: Enrollment agreements & 10% non-refundable tuition deposit due.

Admissions CHECKLIST

Toddler (18-36 months)

Toddler applications for the current 2024-2025 school year are closed; the wait pool is also closed.

Applications for the 2025-2026 school year open Oct. 14, 2024.

Between 18 and 29 months old by Sept. 1, 2025.
Walking independently; students go on daily outdoor walks.

Early Childhood (3-6 years; Preschool & Kindergarten)

Early Childhood applications for the current 2024-2025 school year are closed; the wait pool is also closed.

Applications for the 2025-2026 school year open Oct. 14, 2024.

36 months old by Sept. 1, 2025.
5 years of age by Sept. 1, 2025, if entering Kindergarten.
Toileting independently; no diapers or pull-ups are allowed.
Able to communicate their needs.
Able to respond to one-step directions, particularly around safety.

Checklist Items:

Send the Teacher Evaluation Form to your student's current teacher (Preschool & Kindergarten applicants only)
- WMS must receive the completed form by the priority admissions deadline and before scheduling the student visit.
- If your child has not yet attended daycare or preschool, you may request this step to be waived by contacting the Admissions department at admissions@woodinvillemontessori.org.
Submit a Progress Report/Report Card (Kindergarten applicants only)
- 2024-2025 (First semester report will be requested in February 2025).
Attend a student visit (Kindergarten applicants only)
- The Admissions department will extend an invitation for your student to visit a classroom on a school day for two hours.

Elementary (Grades 1-6)

1st grade applicants must be 6 years old by Sept. 1, 2025.
